This knowledge management platform is compiled by the United Nations Resident Coordinator’s Office (RCO) in Indonesia, building on the collective efforts of past and present colleagues and the close collaboration of inter-agency working groups and partners.
Under the leadership of the United Nations Resident Coordinator and successive Heads of the RCO, the Disability Inclusion agenda in Indonesia has been advanced through sustained institutional commitment and teamwork. The RCO team, across different phases of implementation, has contributed to the development and operationalization of programmatic, operational, and digital accessibility initiatives, integrating human rights, gender equality, and the Leave No One Behind (LNOB) principles throughout.
This work has been strengthened by the active engagement of UN inter-agency working groups, including those on Supply, ICT, Administration, Human Resources, and Communications, as well as Disability Inclusion focal points across UN entities. Their technical expertise, coordination, and shared ownership have been essential to translating strategy into practice.
We also acknowledge the contributions of consultants and former colleagues whose expertise has informed and shaped key aspects of this initiative.
Special appreciation is extended to the Disability Inclusion Advocates Network, comprising advocates from across organizations, for its role in promoting awareness, accountability, and inclusive change. We are deeply grateful for the continued engagement and expertise of Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) in Indonesia, whose lived experience and guidance remain central to this work.
Finally, we thank the United Nations Country Team (UNCT) for its ongoing support and commitment to advancing disability inclusion. This collective journey reflects what can be achieved through collaboration, continuity, and a shared vision for a more inclusive United Nations and society.
